Before you have kids you can't even fathom what it really is.

I had older guys take me in under their wing, make me come get in the cold tub with them, make me stay after and watch film with them, of just continuing to try to push me, and talk to me all throughout practices and games, trying to get my technique right, my knowledge and all of that.

I love this game and put a lot into it, but there's bigger things.

We all want to do something special on the field. But at the same time, we have a responsibility to get to know each other and build on things that we can do in the community.
