By the grace of God, my parents were fantastic. We were a very normal family, and we have had a very middle-class Indian upbringing. We were never made to realise who we were or that my father and mother were huge stars - it was a very normal house, and I'd like my daughter to have the same thing.

I got caught up on drugs for a few years, I'm off it, I'm very happy, got two kids and a family and everything. And like I said I'm making the underground music, and keeping it real.

A princely mind will undo a private family.

I remember skiing being a family recreational thing.

I've made a lot of sacrifices. When I was younger, I didn't see my family. I'd go and train all the time, not seeing friends, leaving the country, and stuff like that.

When I was making 'Strong Island,' it was very clear to me that my brother's death was a point on a line that stretched back into the 1940s and beyond in my family - and in the nation.

You would think with me living in Los Angeles I would go to the beach all the time, but we don't. It's the same as visiting the Statue of Liberty. If you don't live in N.Y.C., it's the first stop on your family vacation, but if you live there, you only go if you have relatives visiting from out of town!

I am just like any regular person. I am a fun-loving guy, which is reflected in my acting. I love to spend time with my family like any other person.

I want to spend more time with my family, and get back to what made me enjoy making games in the first place.

I don't think anyone in my family was funny.

I am lucky in that I love what I do, but it can still be hard to be away from the kids for long lengths of time. At the end of the day, all I want is to be with my kids, but it's worth it to create a future for my family.

Moms, you should parent in whatever way works for your family and spend less time worrying about other people's perceptions of how you're doing.

I want to have time for myself, my family and my friends. It's important because in order to sing well, you must have inspiration, and inspiration comes from life, from living.

A happy family is but an earlier heaven.

As you may know, I was raised in an Italian Catholic family in Baltimore, Maryland.

I thank God, Jesus, and my Grandmother for being able to support myself and my family.

I am quite international. My background, born in Turkey. My family is a Jewish family from Iran, so I went from Turkey to Iran to Israel, and then grew up in Italy and ended up in U.S. for graduate school. So I tend to look at things from an international perspective, and I think that gives you a little bit of a broader view of what's going on.

The Bhatts are an amazing family and a production house to work with, and I guess anyone will back me up for this.

Evictions used to be rare in this country. They used to draw crowds. There are scenes in literature where you can come upon an eviction - like, in 'Invisible Man' there's the famous eviction scene in Harlem, and people are gathered around, and they move the family back in.
